Trees, mountains, an open field and a good marsh, all make me marvel at all the beauty in this world. And I am convinced we are wired to see beauty in all kinds of places. I've tried my best to capture and reflect what I can!

Blue Ridge Collection
I have been carefully planning this Blue Ridge Series with many trips to the mountains this summer. As my new studio opens some of these will be the first pieces on display.
Some pieces were done outside in the mountains and some from reference photos from trips. From a quick day hike to a weekend at Cashier Lake, each piece has personal meaning to me and I hope they remind you of a favorite mountain trip you’ve had.

Meet the Artist
Mountains or beach? That's a tough one for me, but as you can see, I love the mountains, especially the Blue Ridge Mountains just a short drive away. Living in the Carolinas, we also love a good beach trip, preferably Kiawah, with its Spanish moss-filled trails. Painting, especially landscapes, brings me such joy! I do my best to capture the beauty I see in my unique style. I hope my art sparks memories of your own favorite trips or special places.
I studied Art and Education and graduated with a Bachelors degree from Calvin University. I have always loved art and loved every minute of my art history classes and studio time. After teaching for many years I have recently been able to focus on my own painting career full time.
My Favorite artists are Andrew Wyeth and Edward Hopper! I could study their work for days!
